Get Hitched, Give Hope Announces 2016 Charity Auction and Gala, Havana Nights

Auction features outstanding deals on wedding goods and services donated by local wedding vendors to benefit Dream Foundation and Young Survival Coalition

Seattle, WA – August 1, 2016 Get Hitched, Give Hope is pleased to announce that tickets are now on sale for the non-profit’s ninth annual premiere bridal charity auction and gala benefitting Dream Foundation and Young Survival Coalition. Join Seattle’s top wedding professionals for the event voted Best Wedding Show by Seattle Bride in 2015. This year’s gala will be November 10 at the Four Seasons Hotel Seattle, an elegant evening filled with fashion, finery, and a tropical flair to celebrate the theme: Havana Nights! Get Hitched, Give Hope has set the goal of raising more than $100,000 with live and silent auctions at the 2016 gala to reach a total of more than half a million dollars donated to beneficiaries to date. 

Guests will wear bright, floral dresses or fancy fedoras to revel in the sights, sounds, and tastes of Cuba as Get Hitched, Give Hope transports revelers to Havana with lush tropical decor, food and drink, and music. The Spa at the Four Seasons will be giving hand massages, neck and back massages, and other small treats to help loosen any tension before attendees dance the night away.

“We are excited to bring the warmth of Havana to Seattle with our gala this November,” says Get Hitched Give Hope President and Founder Barbie Hull, “This year’s live and silent auctions are packed with more amazing donations than ever before, and we can’t wait to share these fantastic steals with brides and grooms from across the Pacific Northwest.”

Brooke and Jubal of the Movin’ 92.5 morning show will emcee the main event, where brides and grooms can get gorgeous goods while giving back! The gala’s silent auction items include accessories, floral design, wedding photography, lighting, invitation suites, jewelry, rentals, and many more must-haves for every wedding. This year’s live auction packages feature the following, all generously donated:

Founded in 2007, Get Hitched, Give Hope started the trend of small-business social entrepreneurship in the wedding industry and paved the way for bridal charities in the Pacific Northwest. All proceeds gathered by Get Hitched, Give Hope are donated to Dream Foundation, to deliver final dreams to people with a terminal diagnosis, and Young Survival Coalition Seattle, to provide education and support to young women living with breast cancer. Since its first year, Get Hitched, Give Hope has raised nearly $400,000 for its beneficiaries.
